Erika Shira Office View

Name: Erika Shira
Industry: human services
Location: United States
Description: “I am a mental health counselor and music therapist. I work at a large human services agency in downtown Boston (which prefers that we not name-drop the place in stuff not directly related to work). Out my window I can now see the North End. Previously, I could see the elevated I-93 expressway and elevated green line trolley tracks. During 2004 and 2005 I watched the tracks and expressway get demolished and moved into a tunnel as part of the Big Dig, and gradually this view opened up.”

JWT Budapest Office View

Name: Szilvia
Company: JWT Budapest
Industry: advertising
Location: Hungary
Description: “These pics are kind of illustrations of Hungary’s recent history. The photos were taken from a kitshy/nouvo riche/wealth-showing 90’s-built office building (built by a millionaire who made his fortune in the changing economy after the socialist system ended in Hungary). The building across the street crossing is a remain from the socialist times: a typical “house of culture”, once built to for free workshops and training courses for the worker class people. The unused 60’s modern building once was a workers dormitory: a place for boarding countryside people who wanted to start a new life in the capital. And the view of the Buda-hills. A reason why the office building was built here.”
